We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Engineer which can be based remotely in the US.  Will be part of our inside presales team supporting our Data Protection solution for our clients in the US.

Responsibilities

The Quest Software Inside Sales Engineer (SE) provides pre-sales technical support to the sales teams during the software sales process. Accountable for the technical validity of the software solution and the direct relationship with the customers' strategic business plan.  The Quest SE supports the sales staff in assessing potential application of company software products and services to meet customer needs. Quest Sales Engineers prepare detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling Quest Software solutions and services. Conducts software customer needs analysis, provides project scoping, coordinates internal and inter-department activities. Supports sellers in creating demand for software solutions. This role requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers. 

 

-Learns the full range of Quest Software products/services and is able to identify how these products and services align to the customer’s needs

-Explains technical, industry, and market facts to position Quest Software as a competitive solution

-Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues, cross-functionally, to support the sales process

-Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job

-Demonstrates good judgement in analyzing information to make routine decisions

-Begins to build and increase expertise for Quest's software products and service offerings, as well as business processes and systems, at a steady pace

-Effectively articulates the value proposition associated with Quest's specialized products and service.

-Recommends business solutions considering customer needs and Quest interests

-Builds relationships with customers based on knowledge of Quest's specialized products and services

-Stays abreast of current industry trends and how Quest's customers are being impacted to help solve specific market challenges in targeted industries

-Leverages cross-functional resources to achieve results/meet customer needs

-Effectively prioritizes multiple demands while ensuring customer needs are met

-Escalates customer issues/concerns as appropriate

-Proactively identifies and manages opportunities in CRM to drive and deliver solutions and customer experience.

-Accurately maintains forecast of upcoming opportunities

-Stays abreast of current industry trends and how Quest's customers are being impacted to help solve related customer issues

-Builds knowledge on account team about Quest's products and services to include keeping them up to speed on new software products/service and how that team's customers can benefit from them.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of relevant experience in Pre-Sales

- Pre-Sales experience with Data protection software

- Pre-Sales experience with Data storage a plus (hardware or software)

- Pre-Sales experience with Cloud (Public or Private)

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Strong customer service skills
