Overview

As a UX Researcher, you will work across multiple products, including Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Manager (IM), and One Login, to build a deep, shared understanding of users, use cases, and pain points.

This is a cross-product role focused on enabling better decisions at both product and portfolio level. You will partner with Product Management and Design to inform discovery, reduce risk, and ensure that user needs are consistently represented across a complex identity and access management ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Research Strategy & Cross-Product Planning

  • Partner with Product and Design leadership to define research priorities across PAM, IM, and One Login
  • Plan and manage research that supports:
    • Early discovery and problem definition
    • Concept and solution validation
    • Ongoing usability and experience improvement
  • Balance product-specific research with foundational and longitudinal studies that benefit multiple teams

Research Execution

  • Conduct a range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including:
    • Moderated and unmoderated usability testing
    • User interviews and contextual inquiry
    • Surveys and diary studies
    • Heuristic evaluations and accessibility reviews
  • Support prototype preparation and test design in collaboration with Designers
  • Ensure research practices are inclusive, ethical, and representative of enterprise users

Synthesis, Insight & Influence

  • Analyse and synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Identify patterns and themes that span products and user journeys
  • Communicate insights through reports, readouts, and facilitated workshops
  • Translate research into implications and recommendations for Product and Design teams
  • Build and maintain a shared research repository to support long-term learning

Collaboration & Advocacy

  • Embed with product teams as needed while maintaining a portfolio-level perspective
  • Advocate for user-centred decision-making across the organisation
  • Participate in discovery sessions, design critiques, and cross-functional workshops
  • Contribute to improving research processes, tools, and standards across teams

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in UX Research or a closely related role
  • Degree in UX, HCI, Psychology, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience conducting research for SaaS and/or enterprise software
  • Strong qualitative research skills: quantitative experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product decisions through evidence
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to Have

  • Experience researching Identity, Security, or other complex technical domains
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)
  • Experience working across multiple product teams or portfolios
  • Experience with research tools such as Tetra Insights, UX Tweak, or similar
