We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Information Technology. This is a critical leadership role that will serve as the company's senior-most technology leader, effectively operating as the interim CIO. You will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of our entire internal technology stack, including business applications, infrastructure, security, and end-user support.

Your initial and most critical mandate will be to rationalize and rebuild our Go-to-Market (GTM) application ecosystem. You will partner directly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance leaders to architect a scalable, efficient, and data-driven "lead-to-cash" process.  This role demands a leader who champions a "lean integration" philosophy. You will move us away from brittle, point-to-point custom code and toward a modern, API-first, and iPaaS-driven architecture. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, design a system architecture, and lead a team to execute it.

Responsibilities

 

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

 

Strategy & Leadership (Interim CIO Function):

  • Develop and own the complete IT roadmap and strategy, aligning technology initiatives with core business objectives.
  • Serve as the senior technology advisor to the executive leadership team, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Manage the IT department's budget (OpEx and CapEx), optimizing for both cost-efficiency and strategic investment.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the IT team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and business partnership.
  • Oversee all IT vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement.

 

Go-to-Market (GTM) Application & Lean Integration:

  • Lead the immediate discovery, audit, and strategic planning for our GTM application stack (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo/HubSpot, SalesLoft/Outreach, CPQ, etc.).
  • Design and implement a "lean integration" architecture, leveraging modern iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solutions to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable data flows.
  • Partner with Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, and Finance to define and build a seamless and automated "lead-to-cash" data lifecycle.
  • Eliminate data silos and manual processes, providing a "single source of truth" for GTM reporting and analytics.

 

Full-Stack IT Oversight (Infrastructure, Security, Support):

  • Business Systems: Oversee the entire portfolio of corporate applications, including Finance (ERP), HR (HRIS), and GTM systems, ensuring they meet business needs.
  • Infrastructure & Cloud: Manage all network, internal cloud (AWS/Azure), and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
  • Information Security: Own the corporate information security and data privacy program. Lead compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and ensure the company's data and assets are protected.
  • End-User Support: Lead the IT operations and helpdesk team to provide exceptional, white-glove support to all employees, enabling productivity from onboarding to offboarding.

 

Qualifications

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role (Director, Sr. Manager) managing a team.
  • Proven experience in a high-growth software or SaaS company ($100M - $500M+ revenue range).
  • Deep GTM Systems Expertise: Hands-on-keyboard architecture and integration experience with Salesforce (required) and its surrounding ecosystem (e.g., Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot, CPQ tools, Customer Success platforms).
  • Modern Integration Mastery: Demonstrable experience designing and building "lean integration" strategies. You must have experience replacing point-to-point connections with an iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, Celigo) or a similar API-first methodology.
  • Full-Stack Knowledge: Broad and deep understanding of infrastructure, cloud operations, network security, and modern IT helpdesk management.
  • Executive Presence: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical C-suite executives and business stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience reporting directly to a CEO or CFO.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) implementations and integrations.
  • Partner with group CISO for critical information security audits and achieving compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • MBA is a strong plus.
