 You will be responsible for identifying testing methods and tools to ensure that defects and risks are identified as accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently as possible, in order to ensure that released products meet their stated requirements, satisfy customers, and are released on time.  

In this role, you will be reporting to the engineering leader in the Bengaluru Office (Hybrid mode).

• Design and implement automated test frameworks using Python
• Apply deep understanding of software testing methodologies, patterns, and best practices to drive quality across the development lifecycle.
• Work knowledge with databases
• Leverage experience with Active Directory and Windows PowerShell to support test environments and automation tasks.
• Utilize bug tracking and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps to manage test cases, track issues, and collaborate across teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing as an embedded QA engineer within cross-functional product teams.
• Develop and test applications for Windows platforms. Familiar with Linux.
• Create and execute sections of comprehensive test plans based on evolving risk profiles, ensuring thorough coverage and accurate quality assessments.
• Design and build robust test environments and complex test topologies to simulate real-world scenarios and edge cases.
• Develop, execute, and analyze automated test scripts and reports, maximizing the value of automation in the CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Microsoft and other network operating systems, including server and desktop environments, databases, and mail systems.  Experience with Linux and Linux management. Knowledge of macOS, AIX, HP-UX is an added advantage.
• Understands Git deeply (branching, merging, rebasing, conflict resolution, etc.). Is comfortable with DVCS concepts (e.g., local vs. remote repositories, decentralized collaboration). Can navigate and troubleshoot Git workflows. Is familiar with CI/CD pipelines that integrate with Git repositories.
• Strong foundation in quality control, quality assurance, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in software design, programming, and automated testing tools.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging complex systems and applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience with Python and testing with Selenium or Playwright and/or testing REST APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB, SQL lite is an added advantage.

-10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.  

-BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MS / MCA  or equivalent technical graduation

-Proven experience with Microsoft and other network operating systems, including server and desktop environments, databases, and mail systems.

-Strong foundation in quality control, quality assurance, and software engineering principles.

-Proficiency in software design, programming, and automated testing tools.

-Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging complex systems and applications.

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

-Experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB is a strong plus.
