We are currently looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead a Global team responsible for designing, implementing, and operating information security technologies. One Identity is looking for a candidate that has a strong balance of technical knowledge in the following fields, security architecture and design, Cloud computing, networking, and technical/security experience. This senior level position will routinely interact with Technology, Business, Compliance and Legal staff globally.

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, Engineering will develop and implement strategies focused on providing effective cybersecurity control function to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of One Identity assets. As part of the One Identity leadership team, you will be responsible for helping to create the overall mission, vision and strategic goals of the One Identity Engineering organization.

Responsibilities

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Create, communicate, and implement OID Engineering’s short-term and long-term strategic plans across remote regions.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive global cybersecurity strategy and effective enterprise-wide security program that allows for zero cybersecurity impacts.
  • Determine ways to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and improve overall organizational performance.
  • Direct the Threat Protection, Data Identification & Loss Prevention, Security Analytics, Data Protection, and Solution design departments.
  • Participate in response to security incidents and events to protect corporate IT assets, including intellectual property, regulated data and One Identity’s reputation.
  • Provides operational guidance and develops detailed work plans for the completion of tasks.
  • Drive engagement and operational maturity of all departmental teams with equal focus on people, process, and technology.
  • Manage budget and financial plans to drive organizational plans.
  • Motivate staff and build cross departmental relationships to drive vision and plans of the organization.
  • Clearly set goals/objectives for departmental leaders.
  • Remains up-to-date on regulatory changes, emerging threats and evolving technologies and implements appropriate control mechanisms and security architecture based on risks within One Identity’s environment.
  • Actively participates in enterprise-wide Breach Response exercises, including the establishment and validation of procedures to restore business to BAU activities.
  • Plan, prioritize, estimate and execute releases with a good degree of predictability.

Qualifications

Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Preferred educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field.
  • 15 years of progressive technical and information security leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of success leading a global engineering organization, hiring, enabling, and empowering high-performing teams.
  • 10 years of related experience leading and motivating cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
  • Experience with information system technology including threat protection, data identification and loss prevention, security analytics, data protection, and solution design.
  • Metrics driven and process oriented with proven track record for driving operational maturity.
  • Must understand cost breakdown of a SAAS business.
  • Drive optimization and scalability within the business and outsourcing partnerships.
  • High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and rationalization skills.
  • Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
  • Excellent presentation skills, especially with senior executive audiences and customers.
  • Previous experience with a private equity owned company is required. 

 

 

Technical Requirements

  • Understanding and experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD
  • Well versed with Agile methodologies, TDD and Test Engineering, and Automation
  • Experience with public cloud APIs and services related to securing public cloud entities; experience with RESTful web services, high-scale SaaS applications, and public clouds
  • Working knowledge with Azure, AWS and GCP and contemporary cloud technologies.
