Software Sales Account Manager I, Information Management

This is a field sales position responsible for selling Quest’s performance monitoring and data management solutions to Key National Accounts.  Individuals in this role should possess a depth of Enterprise Software and Best of Breed sales experience within the Fortune 5000 enabling them to comfortably discuss business and technology issues with low, mid and high-level IT and business managers within the marketplace.




-Prospecting, finding, developing and closing opportunities through the entire Sales Cycle

-Developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers

-Creating and implementing account strategy

-Recognizing customer business problems and driving / influencing resources to address opportunities

-Obtaining customer commitment and delivering a total enterprise solution

-Maintaining current revenue and focusing on identifying new opportunities to increase market share and revenue growth

-Coordinating and communicating with various internal resources in Pre-sales, Contracts and Post-Sales

-Working with Channel Partners and other Quest resources to increase opportunity size and expedite closure

-Strong written and oral communication skills, including cold calls, proposal preparation presentation and selling skills: Opening, probing, supporting, closing and overcome customer indifference

-Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques

-Ability to sell to high-level executives using articulate value propositions

-Strong teamwork skills are required to successfully work in a highly-matrixed environment



-2+ years of successful experience in a quota driven sales capacity

-Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills

-Accurate forecaster

-Ability to build out account and territory plans to address both net-new prospects and existing customers

-Excellent presentation, business, analytical, problem solving and communication skills, written and verbal with ability to effectively communicate with business and IT individuals at all levels of the customers’ organization

-Proficient with CRM tools – preferred

-Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques

-Up to 25% of travel 



-BS/BA Degree or equivalent work equivalent
