Overview

 

As a Software Sales Engineer, you are tasked with understanding client requirements and tailoring conversations and demos that clearly articulate the value of One Identity’s solution suite. This is an essential technical sales and business role, integral to the sales process.  As a Sales Engineer, you have a customer first mentality and ensure through your work that you address the client’s full business and technical needs. Supported by a strong support team, you will work closely with the Sales Account Manager for your region and achieve agreed sales quotas. Responsibilities

 

- Work independently with the sales teams to develop opportunities in their accounts and integrate identity solutions into the overall One Identity message

- Manage independently the technical aspects of the Discovery and perform the “Proof of concept” stage as part of a team

- Work independently to design and present solutions, managing issues in customer environments

- Be pro-active in recognising and raising up-selling and cross selling opportunities

- Operate as a member of a virtual product team spanning multiple time zones, independently manage both reactive and proactive time concerns

- Visit customers independently to articulate and demonstrate the One Identity IAM message

- Be technically proficient on OI product solutions to demo level, with the ability to modify demo to the customer’s basic needs

- Understand customers’ business and technical issues to architect a compelling solution and clearly articulate how One Identity solves the customer’s specific challenges

- Independently develop technology presentations and customized product demonstrations, as part of a team perform Proof of Concept exercises and concise architectural/solution documentation. Work with the sales team on RFP/RFI documents

- Travel to assist local One Identity account teams and One Identity partners in closing large enterprise license deals in competitive sales situations

- Partner independently with Product Marketing to develop assets and deliver training sessions to improve technical product knowledge of existing features to both customers and Account Executives

- Work independently with Product Managers to continuously improve products, based upon customer interactions, individual testing, and wider market knowledge

- Maintain and regularly exercise expert level certification in applicable products & solutions as directed

- Actively learn independently, from training, and from peers. Maintain and grow working knowledge of Industry trends and technology, common customer expectations, and the competition

- Grow knowledge of enterprise industry standard solutions e.g., SAP, Service Now etc

- Assist with provision of expertise and forward-thinking strategies to key One Identity teams

- Initiate and participate in local and global initiatives in the IAM space, actively participate in industry conferences as required, and delivery of webinars

- Consistently demonstrate core principles of Customer service and professionalism

- Continue to build relationships and share engagements with OI Sales and across other OI functions

- Work effectively within customer organizations by building stronger enterprise relationships from C level to the technical level personnel

Qualifications

- Educated to Bachelor’s degree level in a business or computing discipline or equivalent experience

- Cybersecurity/ Identity experience
