We are currently looking for a Presales Engineer responsible for supporting Sales with existing and prospective accounts and partners. This position will be based remotely in the US, Central Timezone. It will require some travel.

Responsibilities

This role supports the sales organization by providing presales expertise in One Identity’s Privileged Access Management (Safeguard) and Log Management (syslog-ng Premium Edition and syslog-ng Store Box) portfolio. It provides subject matter expertise and advises on new or revised software solutions, develops and offers integrated, end-to-end IT solutions in targeted industry segments that support the customer’s strategic goals.

 

-Supports the sales process with strong technical knowledge

-Delivers technical and sales-oriented presentations and proof-of-concepts

-Assists the Sales team in assessing potential customer needs for One Identity’s solutions including preparation of detailed specifications and responds to RFPs

-Cooperates with Presales, Postsales, Product Management, and Product Development teams

-Represents the company at tradeshows

-Understands the customer’s business, their business environment, and their technical needs to propose the most appropriate technical solution

-Effectively articulates the value proposition associated with One Identity’s products and services

-Provides direction and guidance to less experienced peers

Qualifications

-10+ years of overall IT related experience or combination of education and experience.

-3+ years of relevant experience as a Presales/Systems Engineer

-Experience in working with Unix/Linux systems

-Customer-oriented attitude with good problem-solving skills

-Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, AWK
-Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking

-Must have experience demonstrating product features and capabilities via remote web demonstrations

-Ability to map customer technical requirements to business requirements

-Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time

 

Preferences

-Experience in delivering training courses  

-Undergraduate degree in Computer Science
