Quest is an award-winning IT management software provider offering a broad selection of solutions that solve some of the most common and most challenging IT problems. We are currently looking for a Technical Writer to produce high quality end-user documentation for our Foglight products.


The Technical Writer will be responsible for the complete ownership of documentation delivery, including:

-Analyzing development requirements to determine the documentation deliverables for a project

-Working with developers and product domain experts to become familiar with product technology and to collect the information necessary for documentation

-Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of products and customer use cases

-Conducting technical and peer reviews of documentation to ensure consistent quality of the documentation set

-Developing and executing documentation plans for simultaneous releases

-Adhering to technical documentation standards


-Has excellent writing and editing skills, strong organization skills

-Has a BA/BS with an emphasis in Computer Science or a writing field (English, Journalism, etc).

-Has 2+ years of experience with planning and producing end-user documentation for enterprise level software applications

-Uses critical thinking and creativity to develop elegant solutions to complex problems

-Knowledge of software development lifecycles and best practices as well as Agile and SCRUM methodologies

-Experience in using enterprise-level documentation toolchains. For example, source control systems (Git, SVN or TFS), XML- or HTML-editors (MadCap Flare, oXygen, etc.) topic-based authoring

-Works with and communicates effectively with product teams located around the world

- Excellent skills in English, professional level
