Overview

We are seeking a Sr Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) for our expanding team in EMEA and APACJ. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the Professional Services Organization (PSO) with experience managing the delivery of, and managing project managers, delivering enterprise software solutions to high-profile customers.

 

The role of the PMO Sr. Manager is to provide leadership, organization, and coordination to support Program Management Office’s key activities, including oversight of project management team, project portfolio management, development of the project management team, program planning and governance. Ensures all projects administered by the PMO adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management. This role also manages the change and promotes continuous improvement of project management related processes. Provides management and guidance to multi-functional project teams. Manage and enhance customer relationships.

 

The Services PMO Manager will lead a team of Project Managers and Program Managers who lead Customer facing project engagements within the Services organization. The Manager will be responsible for all aspects of people management to ensure that we are delivering an exceptional Customer experience across the portfolio of Services engagements at Quest.

 

 

Travel Expectations:

This is a remote position with some travel required (>10 of the time, or as needed to support business)

 

Responsibilities

- You will provide leadership and direction to promote successful project delivery.

- You will develop and empower direct reports to make appropriate program / project-related decisions while fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and mentoring.

- Establish Project Management Office Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

- Manages project managers who develop project plans with focus on achievement of project goals and corporate initiatives, including project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or metrics to ensure standards are adhered to and best practice. 

- Ensuring staff complete weekly timesheets and maintain accurate details on availability within PSA system

- Ensures adoption and implementation of project and program management methodology and tools and oversees project and program management coaching.

- Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.

- Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of project management policies, standards, procedures.

- Provides processes, structure, and motivation to project managers to successfully achieve project goal and corporate initiatives.

- Leadership in development of the highest standards in project delivery and knowledge sharing across regions

- Solicits ongoing feedback from Business Units, peers, and customers.

- Serve as a point of escalation to resolve project issues and ensuring an agreeable outcome with customers and the business

- Works with business unit / client leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities.

- Input to refine Pre-Sales statement of work scoping and sizing

- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

- 8+ years of experience managing technical infrastructure, security, and collaboration projects, including cloud technologies 

- Leadership experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring professional level staff

- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple demands

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- PMP certification required

- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and contribute with positive attitude

- Passion for driving and implementing process improvement

- Knowledge of technology and services models

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Requirements:

 

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

- Minimum three (5 ) years work-related experience required in a supervisory/management role AND

- 3+ years of Customer facing project management experience

- Technical certifications preferred (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Security, etc)

- Knowledge and experience with Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, and Waterfall methodologies

- Experience with tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Confluence, Financial Force PSA, Salesforce, and PowerBI

- Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) applications preferred

- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross-functional interactions

- Strong analytical, mediation and problem resolution skills

- Excellent time management, communication, collaboration, and organization skills

- ITIL certification
